Materials Needed

• 3/4 yard total assorted light blue prints (blocks)

• 3/4 yard total assorted dark blue prints (blocks)

• 1 yard total assorted red prints (blocks)

• 1/2 yard dark blue tone-ontone print (binding)

• 1 1/2 yards backing fabric

• 43×55" batting

Finished quilt: 36 1/2" x 48 1/2"

Finished block: 4" square

Quantities are for 44⁄45"-wide, 100% cotton fabrics.

Measurements include 1⁄4" seam allowances.

Sew with right sides together unless otherwise stated.

Cut Fabrics Cut pieces in the following order:

From assorted light blue prints, cut:

• 54—21⁄2×41⁄2" rectangles

From assorted dark blue prints, cut:

• 54—21⁄2×41⁄2" rectangles From assorted red prints, cut:

• 54—41⁄2" squares

From dark blue tone-ontone print, cut:

• 5—21⁄2×42" binding strips

Assemble Blocks 1. Join a light blue print and a dark blue print to make a 41⁄2“ square block. Repeat to make 54 blocks.

Assemble Rows

1. Referring to photo of quilt, lay out blocks and red print 41⁄2“ squares in rows.

2. Sew together blocks and squares in each row.

Press seams in one direction, alternating direction with each row.

3. Join rows to make quilt top. Press seams in one direction. Finish Quilt

1. Layer quilt top batting, and backing; baste.

Quilt as desired. 2. Bind with dark blue tone-on-tone binding strips.
